Clinical Psychologist

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be experienced in conducting assessments, diagnosing, and treating various mental health issues. You will work closely with clients to develop customised therapeutic plans and support their journey towards mental wellness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations.
• Develop and implement personalised therapy plans.
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals and groups.
• Monitor and document client progress and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with other health professionals for comprehensive care.
• Provide mental health education to clients and community groups.
• Stay updated with current psychological practices and theories.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all client interactions.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work
• Registration with HPCSA or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years in a clinical setting

• Counselling Skills
• Trauma-Informed Care

• Active Listening
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certificate in Trauma-Informed Care
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with group therapy and workshops.: Knowledge and skills in facilitating group sessions for varied populations.
• Familiarity with mindfulness-based therapies.: Experience in implementing mindfulness techniques in therapeutic practice.
