As a Veterinary Surgeon at our Johannesburg facility, you will play a crucial role in our veterinary practice. This position involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and overseeing the veterinary technicians. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive clinical examinations and diagnostics.
• Execute surgical and non-surgical interventions competently.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animal needs.
• Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging.
• Foster a positive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
• Engage in community outreach programs promoting animal welfare.
• Ensure the clinic's adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Manage client consultations and provide exceptional customer service.
• Develop protocols for emergency care and critical procedures.
• Engage in post-operative care and follow-up consultations.

Requirements

Education

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Postgraduate certification in surgery preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a veterinary clinic environment, with a focus on emergency care
