Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You should have a solid background in mechanical engineering principles and be proficient in CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components using CAD software and perform simulations.
• Analyze project requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Coordinate with suppliers for component sourcing and procurement.
• Manage project timelines and deliver quality outcomes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for design issues and implement corrective actions.
• Document and present design specifications and test results.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) certification is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in the mechanical engineering sector

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management Software

Languages

• English: Fluent
