Job Description

We are on the lookout for a driven Mechanical Engineer to enhance our engineering team. You will be tasked with designing, testing, and refining mechanical systems to improve performance and reliability. Your analytical skills will play a crucial role in achieving project goals and satisfying client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers to establish project timelines and budgets.
• Manage technical documentation and project files.
• Attend site visits to observe and assess installations and systems.
• Review and approve designs prepared by junior engineers.
• Ensure that all designs comply with health and safety regulations.
• Contribute to sustainability goals through innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree in Engineering Management preferred.

Experience

• 6+ years in mechanical engineering roles, particularly in project management.

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Project Management Software (e.g., MS Project)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Project Manager (CPM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
