Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. This role will leverage your expertise in cloud solutions to design and implement robust architecture for our cloud-based applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud migration projects and provide architectural guidance.
• Conduct cloud assessments and performance evaluations.
• Design disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with management to align cloud strategy with business goals.
• Research emerging cloud technologies and trends to keep the team up-to-date.
• Support troubleshooting and debugging of cloud applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
• Master's degree in Information Systems is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in cloud technology and architecture

Technical Skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• DevOps

• Analytical Skills
• Collaboration

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of microservices architecture: Experience designing and implementing microservices-based applications.
• Experience in Agile environments: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
