Job Description

We're seeking a dynamic Construction Project Manager to oversee and lead various construction projects in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing teams, budgets, and timelines, ensuring each project is delivered to the highest standard. Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining quality and safety on-site while liaising with stakeholders and ensuring smooth operations from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring safety and productivity.
  • Review and approve project designs and changes before implementation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior project staff.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication among team members.
  • Handle contract negotiations and manage vendor relationships.
  • Gather feedback and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Develop project-specific KPIs to measure success.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant qualification in Engineering or Construction
  • Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

  • 7+ years of experience in construction management roles
