Job Description

As a Physiotherapist at HealthFirst, you will engage closely with patients to assess their conditions and design effective treatment strategies. This role requires a compassionate approach combined with clinical expertise to facilitate recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer physiotherapy treatments and therapies to patients of all ages.
• Assess and record patient outcomes to guide treatment adjustments.
• Provide education on injury prevention and wellness strategies.
• Conduct group therapy sessions when applicable.
• Document patient progress accurately in health records.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills.
• Handle administrative tasks related to patient care and scheduling.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
• Master's degree in Physiotherapy or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in physiotherapy practice

Technical Skills

• Electrotherapy
• Kinesiology Taping

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• Sports Physiotherapy Certification
• Dry Needling Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Skill in neurological rehabilitation: Experience treating neurological disorders and conditions.
• Experience with geriatric patients: Comfortable working with elderly patients in rehabilitation settings.
