Job Description

As a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), you will offer safe and supportive care to women throughout their pregnancy, during childbirth, and in the postpartum period. Collaborating closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, you will ensure a nurturing and positive birthing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive antenatal care with regular assessments and support.
• Monitor and assist in labour, ensuring safety and comfort for the mother and baby.
• Maintain detailed documentation and patient records in alignment with regulations.
• Engage in team training sessions to enhance teamwork and communication.
• Advocate for the health needs of mothers and babies in the community.
• Provide care for diverse populations, tailoring approaches to various community needs.

Requirements

Education

• Certification as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM)
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of midwifery experience.
