Job Description

We are on the lookout for a General Practitioner to serve patients with high-quality healthcare in our Johannesburg facility. Your role will involve conducting thorough patient assessments, offering diagnoses, prescribing medication, and referring patients to specialists as necessary. You will emphasize preventive care, health education, and maintain accurate patient records to foster community health improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide care for patients in a clinical setting.
• Coordinate with specialists to provide comprehensive care.
• Implement preventive care strategies within the practice.
• Document patient care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide clear and compassionate communication with patients.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with medical advancements and continuing education.
• Lead community health education workshops.
• Supervise medical assistants and support staff.
• Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment.

Requirements

Education

• Medical Degree (MBChB or equivalent)
• Postgraduate qualifications in Family Medicine preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in general practice

Certifications

• Trauma Life Support Training
• Certificate in Family Medicine

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
