Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through comprehensive testing and validation processes. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify, document, and resolve issues effectively, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks.
• Conduct performance and load testing to ensure system robustness.
• Review and analyze system specifications to create effective test scenarios.
• Coordinate with product managers to clarify requirements and expectations.
• Collaborate on the development of user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Provide actionable feedback based on testing results.
• Track and report on testing metrics to evaluate progress.
• Support user acceptance testing with internal teams and clients.
• Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups to discuss testing priorities.
• Proactively identify risks and suggest mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Advanced testing certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA testing

• API Testing
• Performance Testing Tools

Certifications

• Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Docker: Familiarity with Docker for containerization in testing environments.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines: Experience working with CI/CD tools for automated testing.
