Job Description

We welcome applications for the position of Ear Specialist, focusing on personalized treatment plans for patients with ear disorders. Ideal candidates will have experience in ENT procedures and a patient-centric approach.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients with ear ailments to establish diagnosis.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans for patients.
• Provide consultations to primary care physicians on complex cases.
• Participate in research studies and clinical trials as required.
• Develop and maintain relationships with patients and their families.
• Support the implementation of new medical technologies within the department.
• Foster a culture of excellence and compassion in patient care.
• Assist in the training and education of healthcare staff.
• Engage with the community through outreach and education programs.
• Remain engaged in ongoing education to stay current with ENT advancements.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Fellowship in Otolaryngology is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in ENT

Certifications

• HPCSA registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
