Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our compassionate team in Cape Town. In this role, you will provide exceptional care to patients, assist in medical procedures, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient recovery and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients on admission and throughout their stay.
• Administer IV therapies and injections as needed.
• Communicate important patient information to healthcare teams.
• Develop personalized care plans based on patient needs.
• Coordinate discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions.
• Mentor and train junior nursing staff and interns.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences.
• Uphold the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a specialized nursing field

Technical Skills

• Wound Care
• Infection Control

• Critical Thinking
• Time Management

Certifications

• Registered Nurse (SANC)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR): Familiar with EHR systems for improved patient documentation.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS): Certification in trauma life support is highly regarded.
