Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient consultations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient prescriptions for appropriateness and safety.
• Educate patients about side effects and proper medication use.
• Collaborate with doctors and healthcare providers for patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage confidential information.
• Organize and oversee pharmacy programs for chronic disease management.
• Stay updated on pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Implement pharmacy quality assurance and improvement programs.
• Prepare reports as necessary for pharmacy management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Clinical pharmacy
• Medication therapy management

Soft Skills

• Problem solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the SAPC
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in clinical trials: Participation in clinical trials and research studies in pharmacies.
• Knowledge of medication safety protocols: Proficiency in adhering to safety standards for medication handling.
