Job Description

As a Social Worker in Gauteng, you will have the opportunity to provide support and resources to individuals and families in need. Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments for new clients requiring assistance.
  • Facilitate support groups for clients experiencing similar challenges.
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress towards their goals.
  • Work closely with local organizations to enhance service delivery.
  • Prepare reports and case studies for funding and evaluation purposes.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and governmental agencies.
  • Assist with crisis intervention and emergency response efforts.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior social workers or interns.
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated with best practices.
  • Promote social justice and equality within the community.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the social services sector
