Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from concept through to completion.
• Evaluate material selections and recommend improvements.
• Investigate and solve complex mechanical problems.
• Maintain accurate records of engineering processes and specifications.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare mitigation plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a related engineering field

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills
• Time Management

Certifications

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in Automation: Background in automation processes and systems design.
• Proficiency in MATLAB: Experience with MATLAB for modeling and simulation tasks.
