Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, experience in medication management, and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. As a pharmacist at PharmaCare, you will dispense medications, provide patient counseling, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and prepare medications as prescribed.
• Provide detailed medication counseling to ensure patient understanding.
• Monitor patients' medication use for effectiveness and compliance.
• Engage in collaboration with healthcare providers for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding medications, side effects, and interactions.
• Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and protocols.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
• Assist in pharmacy operations and administrative tasks as needed.
• Educate patients on chronic disease management and medication adherence.
• Address medication-related inquiries and resolve problems effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
• Pharmacist internship experience preferred

Experience

• Experience within community pharmacy or clinical settings is a plus
