Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing supply chain operations, ensuring the timely delivery of goods, and optimizing logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily logistics operations to ensure streamlined processes.
• Communicate with freight companies and ensure cost-effective transportation solutions are utilized.
• Track and report shipment status, ensuring all parties are informed of delays or issues.
• Assist in developing logistics budgets and monitor expenses.
• Conduct regular audits of shipping processes and policies.
• Implement new shipping strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with the inventory management team to align logistics with stock levels.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of import/export regulations: Understanding of local and international import/export regulations is a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification: Certification in Lean Six Sigma methodologies could enhance process improvement efforts.
