Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pretoria pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in patient care, ensuring safe and effective medication use. Responsibilities include providing medication therapy management, conducting patient consultations, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient medication regimens and recommend alternatives as needed.
  • Engage with patients to understand their health concerns and medication experiences.
  • Support the training and mentoring of pharmacy interns and junior staff.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Act as a resource for clinical staff regarding medication-related queries.
  • Develop educational materials for patients on medication management.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to enhance patient care.
  • Implement and monitor clinical protocols to improve medication safety.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Master's degree in Pharmacy is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of patient care experience in a pharmacy setting

  • Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council
