Job Description

As a Veterinary Technician at our Durban clinic, you'll be responsible for assisting in examinations, administering vaccines, and providing nursing care to sick animals. This position offers a chance to make a difference while working in a supportive team environment focused on animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Support veterinarians with examinations and treatment protocols.
  • Provide humane restraint for pets during procedures.
  • Assist with dental cleanings and radio-graphic imaging.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with results.
  • Educate clients on preventative care and diet.
  • Participate in clinics and outreach programs for community education.
  • Assist in anesthesia monitoring during surgeries.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
  • Help maintain the overall cleanliness of the veterinary clinic.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Veterinary Technology or related field
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting
