Job Description

The License Clerk will be responsible for assisting with the issuance and renewal of driver's licenses and vehicle registration documents. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a high attention to detail and possess excellent communication skills. Working within a fast-paced environment, the clerk will interact with customers daily and provide necessary support for their licensing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist applicants in completing licensing and registration forms.
  • Verify accuracy of documentation submitted by clients.
  • Handle cash transactions for licensing fees.
  • Update licensing records and maintain digital filing systems.
  • Support the training of new clerks in licensing procedures.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public on licensing.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional qualifications in administration or customer service are preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a similar role
