Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to provide comprehensive healthcare services to our diverse patient population in Durban. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient care, with a focus on preventative medicine and community health.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret test results.
• Prescribe medication and therapy as appropriate.
• Provide guidance on preventive measures and lifestyle changes.
• Foster a collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams.
• Stay informed about the latest clinical practices and guidelines.
• Encourage patient engagement in their own health journey.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB and additional specialization in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred
• HPCSA certification required

Experience

• 5+ years in primary care settings

Certifications

• HPCSA Registration
• BLS and ACLS Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
