Job Description

As a Welfare Adviser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals seeking welfare assistance. You will assess clients' needs, determine eligibility for various welfare programs, and provide information and advice on available benefits and support services. Your empathetic approach will help clients navigate complex welfare systems and advocate for their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessments and follow-up evaluations with clients.
  • Develop and implement support plans for clients facing complex challenges.
  • Participate in case reviews to ensure holistic client support.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new Welfare Advisers as required.
  • Advocate for systemic changes based on client feedback and needs.
  • Utilize data management systems to track client outcomes effectively.
  • Facilitate group sessions to foster peer support among clients.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology
  • Additional training in social services (advantageous)
Experience
  • 5 years of experience in social services or client support
