Job Description

As a Court Office Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support, assisting in the smooth operation of the court environment. Your role will involve scheduling court proceedings, maintaining court records, and ensuring effective communication within the judicial system.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of electronic case filing systems.
  • Schedule and coordinate courtroom activities.
  • Organise and update legal files and databases.
  • Provide support during court sessions, including managing documents and evidence.
  • Communicate effectively with legal professionals and the public on court matters.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance court operations.
  • Support training sessions for new staff on court protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Certification in office administration or legal studies is a plus
Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years in an administrative role, preferably in a legal setting
