We are currently seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations and provide critical imaging services in a cutting-edge healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of ultrasound technology and a dedication to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various ultrasound examinations as prescribed by physicians.
• Utilize ultrasound imaging software to generate images for diagnostic purposes.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and alleviate concerns.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care.
• Document and manage patient history and imaging results accurately.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Monitor and evaluate the condition of patients throughout imaging procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound or related field
• Registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

• Certification by the South African Society of Diagnostic Radiographers (SASDR)

• Proficiency in Doppler ultrasound techniques: Knowledge of vascular ultrasound methodologies is a plus.
