Job Description

The Lacer is responsible for operating a laser cutting machine, ensuring that materials are cut accurately and adhering to strict quality control standards. This role requires close collaboration with the production team to meet production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate laser cutting machines for precision work.
  • Ensure the laser cutting process adheres to quality standards.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance of cutting equipment.
  • Work closely with the design team to implement client specifications.
  • Keep accurate production logs and material usage records.
  • Train new operators on machine operation and safety standards.
  • Suggest improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate
  • Technical diploma in manufacturing or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • 2-3 years in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing setting
