Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards while focusing on innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from conception to completion.
• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical failures and propose solutions.
• Participate in product development meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout design processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Prototyping

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Communication skills

Certifications

• Autodesk Certified Professional
• Certified Lean Manufacturing Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
