Job Description

Veterinary Care Group is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who is skilled in diagnosing and treating animals. In this role, you will engage in clinical examinations, surgical procedures, and the development of care plans. You will be a vital part of a collaborative team focused on enhancing the quality of life for pets and livestock in our community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of animals.
  • Carry out surgical operations and post-operative care.
  • Create tailored treatment plans based on assessments.
  • Educate clients on responsible pet ownership and health care.
  • Keep detailed medical records and documentation for all patients.
  • Provide urgent care when necessary, handling emergencies effectively.
  • Engage in professional development through workshops and conferences.
  • Work collaboratively with a veterinary support team.
  • Manage inventory for medical supplies and equipment.
  • Advocate for animal welfare and public health.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
  • Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine is advantageous
Experience
  • 4+ years of clinical veterinary experience
