IT Support Technician

Job Description

As an IT Support Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our technology environment in Bloemfontein. Your main duties will include addressing IT issues, maintaining computer systems, and liaising with users to ensure their needs are met effectively. You will also assist with software installations and updates as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users for hardware and software issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems in a timely manner.
• Assist with IT inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Install and configure new hardware and software as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Conduct regular checks on IT systems and networks.
• Assist in the management of user accounts and permissions.
• Provide training and support to staff on software applications.
• Assist in the implementation of IT policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services.

Advantageous

• CompTIA A+ Certification: Basic certification to validate foundational IT skills.
