Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our growing team in East London. The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing various construction projects. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure structural integrity and compliance with local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural evaluations for existing buildings.
• Utilize CAD and other engineering software for design and analysis.
• Coordinate with local authorities for project approvals and permits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural and civil engineering projects

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• STAAD.Pro

Soft Skills

• Leadership

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM software: Hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling for projects.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in South Africa.
