Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee our projects in Cape Town. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to direct project teams, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and building regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, and reports for project management.
  • Direct and manage subcontractors and construction crews.
  • Implement project controls for tracking progress and performance.
  • Assist in the selection and hiring of site staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Conduct site safety audits and enforce compliance.
  • Facilitate training for staff on equipment and procedures.
  • Lead project closure activities including final inspections and reporting.
  • Promote a culture of safety and integrity on-site.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in construction management
