Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in Cape Town, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced and supportive environment. This role requires a compassionate individual dedicated to improving patient outcomes through effective assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of patient conditions.
• Perform specialized nursing procedures based on patient needs.
• Work closely with doctors in planning and providing patient care.
• Advocate for patients' health needs and rights.
• Prepare and administer injections, intravenous infusions, and treatments.
• Educate families about health conditions and post-care instructions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide mentorship to nursing students and new staff.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing
• Registered with SANC

Experience

• Valid experience in a hospital setting is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Clinical Assessment

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience in a specialized unit (ICU, ER): Experience working in high-acuity environments is a plus.
• Leadership experience: Experience in leading or mentoring junior staff will be preferred.
