Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join our Durban office. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice on a range of corporate matters, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and mitigating risks. You will play a pivotal role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts while interacting with various stakeholders. This position offers the chance to grow within a supportive team and contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare legal documents and correspondence.
• Advise management on legal risks and implications.
• Negotiate terms with external parties and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external counsel on complex issues.
• Participate in training sessions on compliance and legal matters.

Requirements

Education

• LLB degree or equivalent qualification
• Master's degree in Law is a plus

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in legal advisory roles

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with intellectual property law: Understanding of intellectual property rights and related issues.
