Job Description

As a Debt Management Counselor, you will play a vital role in guiding clients through their financial challenges. You'll provide personalized counseling services, develop sustainable repayment plans, and serve as a trusted advocate during negotiations with creditors. Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients facing debt issues.
  • Develop personalized financial strategies and budget plans.
  • Advise clients on credit management and improving their credit scores.
  • Act as a mediator between clients and creditors to negotiate repayment plans.
  • Gather and analyze client financial information to make informed recommendations.
  • Utilise financial management software to track client progress and outcomes.
  • Organize community outreach programs to raise awareness about debt management services.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive client support.
  • Continuously seek to enhance personal knowledge of financial regulations and debt management tools.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Certification in debt counseling is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in debt management or financial counseling

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
