Job Description

We are seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to oversee the daily logistics functions in our Johannesburg office. The ideal candidate will manage supply chain processes and ensure seamless operations while maintaining strong vendor relations and implementing best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the logistics team to ensure all operations are conducted smoothly.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the supply chain process.
  • Evaluate and select logistics partners to improve services.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
  • Continuously monitor logistics performance metrics to ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
  • Manage shipments, processing of invoices, and tracking for compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss logistics strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in logistics preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics management
