Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive veterinary examinations and diagnose diseases.
  • Administer vaccinations and provide preventative care.
  • Conduct surgeries and medical procedures as required.
  • Prescribe medications and advise on animal health issues.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
  • Consult with pet owners regarding pet care and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and staff to provide excellent care.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent
  • Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a veterinary practice
