Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We seek a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to be part of our engineering team in Johannesburg. You will engage in designing mechanical systems, overseeing project execution, and ensuring that all engineering processes comply with industry standards, thereby contributing to the success of our innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical drawings and specifications for mechanical parts.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Participate in research and development efforts for new projects.
• Evaluate and procure mechanical components and materials.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with client goals.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's in Engineering Management is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in mechanical design and project management

Technical Skills

• SolidWorks
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Creative problem-solving
• Communication

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with sustainable engineering practices: Experience with green engineering standards is a plus.
