Environmental Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our Durban office. The successful candidate will work on various projects aimed at promoting environmental sustainability, resource management, and regulatory compliance. You will play a pivotal role in assessing environmental impacts, developing strategies for pollution control, and implementing compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing environmental programs and recommend improvements.
• Assist in the development of environmental management systems.
• Coordinate with local authorities for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and submit applications for environmental permits.
• Analyze data to assess environmental risks and trends.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams to address complex environmental challenges.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on environmental policies and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in environmental engineering or related roles
