Textile Cutting Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

As a Textile Cutting Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender, you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials to create plush toys and other soft products. Your role will require precision in using cutting machines and an understanding of patterns and templates.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and mark cutting lines with precision tools.
• Review and interpret cutting instructions and specifications.
• Maintain equipment and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide feedback on process improvements to the management team.
• Assist in inventory audits and material tracking.
• Work with designers to ensure alignment of prototypes and production.
• Stay updated on new cutting techniques and technologies.
• Help resolve any production issues that arise during the process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Advanced certificate in textile cutting or manufacturing is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cutting and assembling textiles.
