Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will be involved in designing and evaluating structures while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations. This role requires collaboration with architects and other engineering professionals to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed structural designs.
• Analyze existing structures and recommend necessary reinforcements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new materials.
• Mentor and train junior staff in structural engineering principles.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
• Contribute to the development of best practices within the engineering team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering

• Project Management Software

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
