Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for automotive and industrial applications.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Assist in the development of testing protocols for new products.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in engineering processes.
• Train junior engineers and interns on best practices.
• Review customer feedback and integrate improvements into designs.
• Monitor project milestones and report progress to management.
• Investigate and resolve production issues related to mechanical designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Postgraduate qualifications in CAD or product design are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years working in a relevant mechanical engineering position

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermal Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
