Job Description

The Coverstitch Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the coverstitch sewing machine to produce high-quality finished products. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality control, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain coverstitch sewing machines.
• Record production output and quality metrics.
• Identify fabric and thread types needed for specific jobs.
• Ensure optimal machine settings for different production runs.
• Maintain effective communication with the production team.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and technology.
• Participate in team meetings and safety drills.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Formal training in sewing machine operation is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience is preferred
