Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care to our patients, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and contributing to health and wellness initiatives within the community.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage potential drug interactions and contraindications.
• Provide immunization services and health checks.
• Assist in maintaining pharmacy accreditation standards.
• Engage in marketing efforts to promote pharmacy products and services.
• Participate in inventory management and stock control.
• Conduct patient follow-ups to assess medication adherence.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in retail pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy Knowledge
• Medication Therapy Management

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

• Experience in inventory management: Hands-on experience in managing pharmacy stock and supplies.
