Job Description

As a Bridge Designer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of bridges and related structures. The role involves a mix of technical expertise and creativity, ensuring that all designs meet safety and aesthetic standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and create bridge models using advanced engineering software.
• Conduct structural analysis to ensure durability and safety.
• Participate in the development of project specifications and standard operating procedures.
• Interface with clients to capture requirements and manage expectations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary mitigation techniques.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in bridge design.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders as needed.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to group discussions and brainstorming sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Advanced degree is highly regarded

Experience

• 5+ years in bridge design and structural analysis

Technical Skills

• Bridge Design Software (e.g., LUSAS, Midas Civil)
• Code Compliance Knowledge

Certifications

Languages
