Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Public Health Officer to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will implement health programs, oversee community health assessments, and collaborate with various stakeholders to improve public health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to promote healthy lifestyles within the community.
• Conduct research on emerging public health challenges.
• Coordinate with various sectors for integrated health solutions.
• Manage budgets and resources for public health programs.
• Prepare documentation for funding applications and proposals.
• Monitor community health statistics and provide recommendations.
• Advocate for health equity and access to care.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
• Utilize technology to track health indicators and trends.
• Assist in crisis management related to public health emergencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is highly desirable

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in community health or public health roles
