Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Veterinarian to join our Bloemfontein clinic. In this role, you will diagnose animal ailments, administer treatments, and engage with pet owners to promote animal health.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a range of animal health conditions.
• Perform routine check-ups and assess animals' overall health.
• Develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Engage with clients to offer advice on animal health care.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary laws and regulations.
• Support animal welfare initiatives within the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science
• Registered with the South African Veterinary Council

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in veterinary practice

Technical Skills

• Animal Surgery
• Diagnostic Imaging
• Pharmacology

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Empathy

Certifications

• Veterinary Surgeon's Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with exotic animal care: Familiarity with the care and treatment of exotic animals such as reptiles and birds.
• Leadership experience: Ability to mentor junior staff and lead a small team.
