HR Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are actively seeking a detail-oriented HR Compliance Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with various labor laws and internal policies within our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, developing compliance policies, and providing guidance to management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure organizational adherence to policies and regulations.
• Develop and update compliance policies aligned with the latest labor laws and regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters related to HR policies.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations to ensure company policies remain compliant.
• Liaise with legal advisors to address compliance-related issues as necessary.
• Assist in HR investigations related to compliance issues and recommend solutions.
• Prepare reports and documentation for compliance audits and government agencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in HR Management or Business Administration
• Master's in HR Management is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of HR compliance experience in a corporate environment

Certifications

• Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification
• Compliance Certification Board (CCB) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Knowledge of EAP programs: Familiarity with Employee Assistance Programs and their implementation.
