HR Compliance Officer

Job Description

We are actively seeking a detail-oriented HR Compliance Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with various labor laws and internal policies within our Johannesburg office. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits, developing compliance policies, and providing guidance to management.

Responsibilities

• Verify that HR practices are compliant with all South African labor laws.
• Manage the resolution of compliance issues effectively and in a timely manner.
• Engage with external auditors during compliance audits.
• Create and maintain an organized database of compliance documentation.
• Advise upper management on compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
• Assist in the development of employee communication regarding compliance issues.
• Facilitate seminars and workshops related to compliance for staff development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in HR Management or Business Administration
• Master's in HR Management is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 4 years of HR compliance experience in a corporate environment

Certifications

• Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification
• Compliance Certification Board (CCB) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Experience with union negotiations: Experience in dealing with union negotiations is an advantage.
