Job Description

As a Windmill Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing wind turbines, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your expertise in diagnosing and resolving technical issues will be pivotal in contributing to our renewable energy goals.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth mechanical and electrical diagnostics on wind turbines.
• Lead maintenance projects and oversee the work of junior technicians.
• Train new staff members on safety protocols and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on upgrades and modifications.
• Utilize wind turbine monitoring software to track performance data.
• Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Participate in safety audits and report findings to management.
• Implement predictive maintenance techniques to improve reliability.
• Advise management on potential improvements and innovations.
• Document all work performed and maintain accurate inventory of parts.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Additional certifications in wind turbine technology preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in wind turbine maintenance
