Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. You will be responsible for assessing students' learning needs and creating tailored education plans. Collaborate with educators and parents to implement effective strategies encouraging inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document individual learning styles and needs.
• Design and modify curriculum to accommodate different learning abilities.
• Collaborate with parents to support student learning at home.
• Monitor and report on student progress regularly.
• Support students in developing social skills and independence.
• Engage in continuous professional development regarding special education methods.
• Facilitate training workshops for other educators regarding inclusivity.
• Provide counselling and emotional support when necessary.
• Collaborate in creating school-wide initiatives for special needs awareness.
• Advocate for ongoing resources and support for students with disabilities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Special Education is advantageous

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in educational settings focusing on special needs.
