Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Freight Forwarder to join our growing team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end logistics processes, ensuring the seamless transportation and delivery of goods across borders while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in coordinating shipments and liaising with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including transportation and warehousing.
• Conduct audits of shipping processes to ensure compliance.
• Develop contingency plans for potential shipping disruptions.
• Work closely with the finance department to manage budgets for shipping.
• Implement technology solutions to enhance shipping accuracy.
• Provide training for junior logistics staff.
• Evaluate carrier performance and develop improvement initiatives.
• Support the team in administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant certifications in freight forwarding or logistics are an advantage

Experience

• At least 3-5 years of experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
