Job Description

We are looking for an Insurance Underwriter who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent analytical skills to help assess risk and determine the terms of policies. Your efforts will directly impact the company's success in providing quality insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for prospective clients and develop coverage recommendations.
• Review and revise existing underwriting guidelines for accuracy and relevance.
• Implement process improvements to streamline underwriting workflows.
• Stay informed about insurance laws and best practices.
• Assist in the development of new insurance products.
• Facilitate training sessions on underwriting procedures for new staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or relevant field

Experience

• 2+ years of underwriting experience preferred

• Underwriting Guidelines Knowledge

Certifications

• Fellow of the Institute of Risk Management (FIRM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in commercial lines underwriting: Experience in underwriting commercial insurance policies preferred.
• Risk management certification: Possession of a professional certification in risk management is advantageous.
